Description
Cefoxitin sodium is a cephalosporin antibiotic, which is produced by Streptomyceslactamdurans. It is a new class of antibiotics prepared by semi-synthesis. Its parent nucleus is similar to cephalosporin, and its antibacterial properties are similar. It is also traditionally included in the second generation of cephalosporins.

Applications
Strong antibacterial action, with high anti-β-lactamase properties. The antibacterial spectrum includes Escherichia coli, pneumobacter, indole-positive Proteus and Serratia, Klebsiella, influenzae, Salmonella, shigella, etc. Staphylococcus Chemicalbook and a variety of streptococcus also have a good effect. It is mainly used for respiratory tract infection, endocarditis, peritonitis, pyelonephritis, urinary tract infection, septicemia, bone, joint, skin and soft tissue infection caused by sensitive bacteria
