Formulation Development

Pharmaceutical formulation is the process, which combines the pharmaceutically active ingredient and selected inactive ingredients together to produce a drug product. Generally, solution formulations that are used for injectable dosage forms have fewer inactive ingredients, such as water, cosolvents, buffering agents, and pH-adjusting agents. Compared to solution formulations, some of the semisolid formulations are more complex. The inactive ingredients used in semisolid formulations may include water, oil, surfactants, emulsifiers, stabilizers, chelators, preservatives, and pH-adjusting agents. These types of formulations tend to be complex due to interactions between the various ingredients and consequently require considerable development efforts during the formulation process.

The management team of CD Formulation is composed of pharmaceutical experts, including Chemists, Biochemists, Engineers, and highly qualified operators. They not only have the expertise to handle the most complex formulations, but also have a depth of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and contract service organisations.
