Polymer Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery Services

The size of polymer nanoparticles is usually 10~1,000 nm, and drugs are dispersed, encapsulated and adsorbed on polymer particles. According to the route required for drug transport and the process of preparation, nanoparticles can be made into nanoparticles, nanospheres, nanocapsules, etc. The use of nanoparticles as drug carriers can achieve targeted delivery and slow-release drug delivery, which is due to the fact that small particles can enter many human organs and tissues that are difficult for large particles to enter, and can cross many biological barriers to reach the focal site. The main methods for preparing polymer nanoparticles are: (1) post-dispersion of polymers to form nanoparticles; (2) polymerization of monomers to form polymer nanoparticles; and (3) self-assembly of structurally ordered amphiphilic polymers in aqueous media to form nanoparticles.
