Dissolving Microneedles Technology Services

Dissolving microneedle as a new transdermal drug delivery method, with the advantages of both subcutaneous injection and traditional transdermal drug delivery, in certain application scenarios, can be used in a painless patch similar to Band-Aid to replace the injection needle, instead of injection drug delivery, in vaccination, pain slow release, neurological disease treatment and other drug dosage form improvement and innovation have made rapid progress, only coin-sized microneedle drug patch. That is, it can easily and painlessly and effectively complete drug delivery, which can largely reduce the user's pain, enhance safety and convenience, and break through the limitations of traditional transdermal patches that can only conduct small molecule drugs.

Features of Dissolving Microneedles

Dissolving microneedles are prepared by mixing a drug with a degradable polymer material, fluidizing the polymer material containing the drug into a microneedle mold using solvent dissolution, melting and other methods, pending a series of operations such as cooling and drying, and have the following characteristics:

1. It can penetrate the skin stratum corneum to achieve precise drug delivery, which helps transdermal delivery of large molecule drugs and water-dissolving drugs.

2. Made of degradable polymer material, it can effectively avoid the potential risk of needle tip breakage in the skin and prevent drug leakage.

3. The needle body is tiny, which can avoid contact with nerve endings and make the pain minimal or even painless.

Our Services

Dissolving Microneedle Technology Development

CD Formulation has experience in dissolving microneedle process development and application scenario development, and has established a highly integrated R&D and design industrialization technology platform. Based on this foundation, we continue to innovate our technology to create efficient production lines and precise drug delivery services in the drug development and healthcare fields.

Dissolving Microneedle Drug Development

According to different types of pharmaceutical customers and the technical characteristics of dissolving microneedles, CD Formulation can perform R&D for both biological and chemical drugs. For the development of a specific drug, a series of pharmacological studies and subsequent manufacturing process studies are required. When the drug class changes, the production process and hardware for Dissolving microneedles has to change accordingly. For a drug, CD Formulation performs a systematic process design based on the final output.
