Hydrogel Forming Microneedles Technology Research and Development Services

Hydrogel forming microneedles are prepared from a hydrogel polymeric matrix, and this microneedle array rapidly absorbs interstitial fluid upon insertion into the skin, causing the hydrogel to swell, creating continuous open pores within the gel where the drug penetrates and diffuses through the tissue fluid into the skin tissue. There are two forms of drug delivery for hydrogel forming microneedles: pre-positioned at the base of the microneedle, and drug and material together to form a needle body. In either case, the drug is delivered into the body via a channel after the hydrogel has absorbed water to form a delivery channel.
