Chewable tablets which are required to be broken and chewed in between the teeth before ingestion. in this way, the disintegration time is reduced and the rate of absorption of the medicament is increased. Chewable tablets are usually the same size as ordinary tablets, and can be made into different shapes according to needs, these tablets are given to the children who have difficulty in swallowing and to the adults who dislike swallowing. The biggest difference between chewable tablets and ordinary tablets is that chewable tablets must have good taste.
