Solubility
Practically insoluble in water (5 mg/L at 20掳C); soluble in alcohol and oils; sparingly soluble in chloroform and methanol.
Storage
Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep away from oxidizing agents. Store under nitrogen for long-term stability.
Applications
Used primarily as a fragrance ingredient in cosmetics and perfumery, and as a flavoring agent in food. It has limited direct therapeutic use but has been evaluated for skin absorption in cosmetic formulations
