Description

Cyclodextrin Laurate is a modified cyclodextrin derivative synthesized by introducing lauroyl groups into the molecular structure of beta-cyclodextrin. It is a functional material with unique lipophilic and hydrophobic properties, specially designed for oil-phase system applications. It combines the inclusion capability of cyclodextrin with the surface activity of lauric acid, serving as an emulsifier, film former, and carrier for active ingredients

Applications

In cosmetics, it is used as a film-forming agent, humectant, skin conditioner, and skin protectant. It serves as an emulsifier (especially water-in-oil), thickener, dispersant, suspending agent, and controlled-release agent. It acts as a molecular encapsulation material to stabilize active ingredients like Vitamin E and retinol, preventing oxidation and controlling slow release. Also used in oil-based skincare products and as a hydrophobic packaging material additive
