Description
Docetaxel is a semi-synthetic taxane chemotherapeutic agent primarily used in oncology. It functions as a microtubule-stabilizing agent, binding to and stabilizing β-tubulin subunits to inhibit microtubule depolymerization. This disrupts mitotic spindle dynamics, arrests cells in the G2/M phase, and induces apoptosis.
