Description
Glycol distearate is the diester of stearic acid and ethylene glycol. It is a non-ionic surfactant and a waxy ester that appears as a white, waxy solid or flakes. It is primarily used as an opacifying and pearlizing agent, imparting a rich, creamy, and pearlescent finish to formulations. It also functions as an emulsifier, thickener, and stabilizer.
