Food processing can also be used as, adhesive, emulsifying, film-forming, thickening, suspending, dispersing, water-retaining agent, etc. 3. In the daily chemical industry, it is used as an additive in toothpaste, cosmetics, detergents, etc. 4. Used as gelling agent for cement, gypsum and lime, water-retaining agent, and excellent admixture for powder building materials. 5. Hydroxyethyl methylcellulose (HEMC) is widely used in water-based latex coatings, building construction and building materials, printing inks, oil drilling, etc., to thicken and retain water, improve workability, and is used in dry and wet mortar products. 6. Hydroxymethylcellulose is widely used as an excipient in pharmaceutical preparations, including oral tablets, suspensions and topical preparations. Its properties are similar to methyl cellulose, but due to the presence of hydroxyethyl cellulose, it is easier to dissolve in water, the aqueous solution is more compatible with salt, and has a higher coagulation temperature.
