Description
Tea tree oil (TTO) is encapsulated with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) to form an inclusion complex. Optimal preparation: TTO:HP-β-CD = 1:10 (ml:g), 40°C, 1 hour. Drug loading: 9.25% ± 3.25%. Encapsulation efficiency: 80.63%
Stability and Storage Conditions
Excellent stability. In 80°C water bath for 8 hours, TTO-HP-β-CD retention rate was 40%, which is 4.32 times that of unencapsulated tea tree oil. Store in tightly sealed containers, protected from light and moisture, at room temperature.
