Applications
Iron saccharate is a stable, water-soluble macromolecular complex of polynuclear iron (III)-hydroxide surrounded by sucrose molecules. Its primary indication is the treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA), particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), including those undergoing dialysis (hemodialysis or peritoneal) and those who do not require dialysis. It is also indicated for patients who cannot tolerate or do not respond adequately to oral iron therapy
