Metacycline hydrochloride is a semi-synthetic oxytetracycline, which can inhibit G+ and G- bacteria, Rickettsia, actinomyces, Chlamydia trachomatis and protozoa.

Source and Preparation
The product is semi-synthetic oxytetracycline, using oxytetracycline as raw material, the first preparation of metacycline hydrochloride, the total yield of oxytetracycline is about 41%.
