Description
Oseltamivir phosphate is the phosphate salt form of oseltamivir, serving as the orally active prodrug active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) classified as a potent and selective inhibitor of influenza virus neuraminidase. Following oral administration, it undergoes rapid hepatic hydrolysis to its active carboxylate metabolite, which competitively binds to the viral neuraminidase enzyme, preventing the release of newly formed virions from infected host cells and thereby inhibiting viral replication and spread within the respiratory tract.

Applications
