Description
Poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) (PMVEMA, also known as PVM/MA) is a versatile, synthetic, hydrophilic copolymer. It is an alternating copolymer composed of methyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride repeating units. It is commercially available under the tradename Gantrez®. The polymer is valued for its biocompatibility, biodegradability, bioadhesive properties, and chemical reactivity.
