Propylene carbonate is a cyclic, polar aprotic organic solvent with the chemical formula C₄H₆O₃ and a molecular weight of 102.09. It is a clear, colorless, mobile liquid with a faint, characteristic odor. It has a boiling point of approximately 240-242°C, a flash point of 132°C (270°F), and a freezing point of approximately -49°C.
