Description
Rosiglitazone sodium is the sodium salt form of rosiglitazone, functioning as the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in the thiazolidinedione class of antidiabetic agents. Its primary mechanism of action is as a potent and selective agonist for the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR-纬), which enhances insulin sensitivity in adipose tissue, muscle, and the liver, thereby reducing blood glucose levels with minimal direct effect on insulin secretion.
