Description
Suplatast tosilate is the tosylate salt form of suplatast, functioning as the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) classified as a Th2 cytokine inhibitor. Its primary mechanism involves selectively suppressing the production of interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-5 (IL-5) by helper T cells, thereby inhibiting immunoglobulin E (IgE) synthesis and eosinophil activation, which are key pathways in the allergic inflammatory response.
